Two, two, two challenges in one!
Tonight’s card covers both Beate’s sketch challenge and Rhi’s challenge for metal! My first round of goodies came today, and all that scraps was the fastest shipper. In the package was a bottle of silver liquid pearl, pink liquid pearl, strawberry ice stickles and this cute “fluffles and baubles” stamp.
I actually got 3 packages today, one from creative wholesale with my resin mixing cups and dogwood flower assortment. One from ebay for acryllic blocks. Which were an AWESOME deal! I got 8 with a storage box for $17, and that included shipping! The blocks by the way are very nice quality, thick and many different sizes. And the last package was from all that scraps. Quite an exciting day at the mail box!
Here’s little Fluffie McFluffenheim:
If your interested, here’s how little fluffles was made:
1. Starting with a piece of cranberry crisp 5 1/2 x 4 1/2.
2. Next I stamped fluffles in stazon black onto whisper white and then colored him in with my blender pens, classic inks, WWC and the liquid pearls. Then I cut him out with my round coluzzle and sponged the edges in mellow moss and cranberry crisp.
3. I then cut out the next largest size circle and sponged the edges in mellow moss and mounted the two together.
4. With a piece of whisper white cut to 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 I stamped the swirly image (from a cheapie $1 clear set from Michaels) in barely banana, mellow moss and cranberry crisp.
5. Then I cut a piece of mellow moss at 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 and adhere both layers and then mounted them with dimensionals on the card front.
6. Using a dimensional on one side of fluffles and glue on the other I placed him next to the rectangle.
7. With cranberry crisp ink I stamped the “enjoy” sentiment, again from the $1 Michaels set in the bottom right hand corner.
8. Finally I punched holes with my hand held punch and placed two silver brads on either side.
I finished all of my Holiday swaps tonight and next I need to make six cards for another swap. But tomorrow Im going to play with some resin or my glass soldering as well!
