Simple, playful, fluffles

August 15th, 2007

Yes, I’ve got that ol’ cat scratch fever! And it goes by the name of FLUFFLES! :)

In my order from frugalities today were 3 more fluffles stamps, including the ladybug fluffles. And for those of you who’ve been to my house, you’ll know my youngest daughter Audrey’s room has a ladybug theme. And you know my love of ladybugs, so how could I possibly resist Sir Fluffles with ladybugs? ;)

Instructions:

1. Starting with a piece of real red CS at 5 1/2 x 4 1/2.
2. Then I cut a piece of whisper white at 5 x 4 and made it into fun background paper using autumn leaves flowers set. I used a single flower image in barely banana first and then in real red on top. And then I used a sponge and barely banana ink to sponge the edges.
3. I adhered this piece to the card and then used my cropadile to place the white brad/eyelets in the four corners.
4. Cutting a piece of whisper white to 2 1/2 x 2 and stamping fluffles in stazon black. I then colored the image with my marvelous markers. And then sponged around the edge in real red ink.
5. Next I cut a piece of barely banana at 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and attatched fluffles with dimensionals to the banana and then the banana to the base with dimensionals.
6. Finally I used candy cane stickles onto the ladybugs to make them extra fun and special.

I hope you enjoy this fast little card. I loved the flower image as a background stamp! Actually all of the images in that set are wonderful for backgrounds.

And Im so happy to have made 2 cards tonight so that tomorrow I can play with my glass soldering more! I made a pendant on Monday night, but it is obviously something that takes time and practice to perfect. After all, we are talking about melting silver and creating something smooth and pretty with it!

Please stay tuned tomorrow for your chance to win some CS and other goodies due to my cleaning house and organizing my craft room! :)

The DEETS:

CS: Real red, barely banana, whisper white-SU
Ink: Real red, barely banana-SU stazon black. Marvelous markers in certainly celery, real red, creamy caramel, barely banana, apricot appeal, pretty in pink and bordering blue.
Stamps: fluffles and ladybugs and autumn leaves flowers set
Accessories: sponge, white brad eyelets and stampin dimensionals.

How cute is that — and I don’t even like cats! No hate mail, please :) I love the colors and the endless possibilities.
