Papertrey is here
Last Friday I ordered some of the new Papertrey Holiday stamp sets. I had been eyeing some of their stamps for a while now but the versatility of the new stamps just pushed me. You might be wondering how I thought specifically Holiday stamps are versatile, but you also might be surprised!
This afternoon I got them ready by wiping them with my eraser and placing them in their cases, and by tonight they were calling me! So here are two cards made with the same set, “Take a Bough”.
For this card I turned the Christmas ornaments into Easter eggs! The grass is COMPLETELY inspired by MJ Albright, she makes some of the most amazing cards I have ever seen. You seriously need to check out her blog. Her work is truly art, whimsical, playful and stunning. She uses this grass style in her cards, which she makes look better than me, but I love it!
The next card I used the same set, but with the branch and leaves. I wanted to make a great looking fall branch with leaves turning and ready to drop!
This was a pretty simple and quick card to make, great for mass producing! And I need some of those types of cards right now. The sentiment is from their new “Holiday Wishes” set. I simply colored it with my close to cocoa marker and left out the “Seasons” part making it a nice general fall card.
These cards are really straight forward so Im not posting instructions with them. But if you need help with something or what I used post a comment and I will be sure to answer.
I have lots of ideas with these sets and Im excited to have them home. But I also have a bunch of other projects; swaps, invitatons and gifts that need to be made. Sigh, I’ll try to fit it in.
