Wowee! I won!!!

October 19th, 2007

I’m probably more excited about this than I should be, but I cant help it! There was a contest from one of the designers at pink cat studio this past week and I decided to enter a few cards. There were several contests to enter in, a sketch challenge, color challenge (pink and brown), theme (winter, Christmas) and a supply challenge for sparklies!

I thought I would share which cards I decided to enter and which card was the winner. Because I know your all dying to know! ;)

The first card I made a few days ago and I was feeling pretty proud of myself with this one. I really liked the touch of the rhinestone brads for the cherries, and all those cherries were hand stamped. I entered it in the sparkly supply challenge, it did NOT win:

This card I was not fond of, but it used an awful lot of glitter and rhinestones so again it was great for the sparkle challenge. It also fit in the pink and brown challenge, but you could only enter each card into one challenge. But this one as well did NOT win:

This little number I REALLY like. I just LOVE the boho blossoms set from MFT, it makes me so happy. And I love the little rhinestone in the center of the heart, the pearls on the corners of the page. I like the whole darn thing. I entered this in the color challenge, but no this did NOT win:

heart-sketch

So this brings me to a card that I almost did not even post on my blog. I finished it and went “eh”. It sat on my table and I wasnt planning on taking a picture or anything. I ended up entering it into the supply challenge since there is a touch of magenta stickles on the butterfly wings. So here is my winning card for the sparkly challenge:

So a card I didnt like, almost didnt ever mention to anyone is the one that somebody like enough to pick a winner. Go figure! I have no idea how that even works. And it kinda has me wondering if the cards I like are icky and the ones I dont like are nice. I shouldnt think like that but it does make me wonder. Do you do that? Do you wonder if what you make is nice or if you dont see what others see?

Anway, I had a lot of fun entering into the challenge and I was so suprised I won. Thank you Kimmie and pink cat studio!
