Squeaky and in need of some oil
Today I stamped for the first time in a week. It felt very strange. I havent taken that long of a break in about 7 months, so I feel VERY rusty coming back to it today.
I decided to tackle the MFT sketch and use it as a starting point for cards I need to make. My youngest daughter Audrey turned 2 at the end of November and I want to send out her pictures to friends and family. I wanted to match the colors of her outfit; light purple and cream. So I used almost amethyst and very vanilla with a little pretty in pink thrown in for good measure! I also wanted to keep these nice and flat for mailing purposes, no dimensionals, brads or “extra’s” to weight them down. So I opted for liquid pearls in the corners for my embellishment as well as a nice flat pink gingham ribbon.
I only inked up the 2 candles to give a visual message about her 2nd birthday. And the oval under them was stamped off on another piece of paper first so that it wasnt too bold and took your eye away from the candles. I took a copic marker and lined under the sentiment for a little somethin’, somethin’.
I hope to get back into the swing of things over the next few days and be back to my stampin self after the first.
