Brainwave Wednesday- Bloom

May 6th, 2008

Ashley has been having great challenges every Wednesday called ‘Brainwave Wednesday’. Each week is different, it may be a sketch challenge, color challenge or as this week turned out an inspiration challenge.

So here’s the deal with this card, lol. I used some Daisy D’s rub-on tape on the edges. This is SUPER COOL stuff……….however…….it must go on paper evenly. So I learned the hard way on this and I’m saving you the trouble. I thought I would be all cool by layering it on the Boxer DSP and my navy base. But NOOOOOOOOOO, this rub-on tape wasn’t going to play that game with me. So let’s all just ignore the little oopsies with that shall we? Ok…..onto the card:

Oh, and if you look at my dahlia and the image on the THS website you’ll notice that they are a wee bit different. I was coloring the flower and started to worry that I had colored too many petals and didn’t leave enough leaves so I drew a couple extra at the bottom. No buggy biggy, I just don’t want Ashley or Kristin to wonder why I changed their stamp. Another oopsie…….

Ok, now run on over to Ashleys blog and try out the inspiration challenge! Be sure to leave a comment and let me know if you do it with a link!

Very pretty! I’m also very happy that I ordered Boxer the other day! I can’t wait! It is gorgeous! (Or I think and hope that I remembered to add it to my order!) I think your rub-on stitching looks perfect!
