Jacksonbelle Tuesday…..orange, brown & green
This weeks challenge did me in, I saw the word ORANGE and GREEN and panicked. Then there was a lot of talk about green galore and adding some less than stellar colors to the mix and my mind couldn’t get off the idea of BRIGHT. So when I set out to make my first card I was trying to do the orange very subtely.
There is a panel of mellow moss behind the bird cage and my orange is the collage primas. This is such a QUICK card, that stamp is just perfect for quick and beautiful cards. I LOVE it! And the collage primas are just too cool. I used the Hampton Crate Paper collection for this one and the Chelsea Sentiments set from Inkadinkado as well.
But when I made this card I felt like it was REALLY cheating so I thought I would make another one. But this one is kind of a cheat too, so I don’t know if I redeemed myself with this one:
See? His shirt is BRIGHT orange, lots of GREEN grass! And you can’t miss all that brown! Again I used the Hampton paper collection from Crate Paper.
Both of these cards are going in a gift set for my trainer. I want to give her a good variety of cards and I know she likes big dogs, so I thought of her when I saw this set. I will show you the gift box and cards tomorrow.

Funny how I think we all panic buttons going off when those colors were thrown out there - all I could think of was Autumn, Autumn with olive, pumpkin and brown - I’m not ready to go Autumn yet!!!! love your samples - I don’t think you cheated at all - but if that’s what it takes, is a little guilt to get two awesome samples - then…..well, you cheated. If I tell you that each week will we still get two samples??? love em both.
