Beautiful Life
Hello and happy 4th of July! Thanks for stopping by today, I have something very special to share with you! A few months back I ordered that big cosmo cricket special from QVC that came with some chipboard pieces, including a photo cube. That cube has been sitting on my shelf for months because I just wasn’t wanting to make it, but then I had an IDEA! So I whipped out my stuff and started to work.
The box is covered outside in ”Tea and silk” Prima paper that I stamped with the flowers from ‘Beautiful Life’, the inside has cocoa paper. Lots of prima’s, cream pearls, hearts and ribbon on the top, including a ribbon pull with a little tassel.
And what is inside?
A little tag scrapbook! Again I altered the unity wooden tags that come in the handles or with the wooden sets. I had these in a little stack on my desk and thought it would look cute as a little scrap book. Here are what the tags look like before, in case you don’t have any. (you should get some though……the stamps that come with them are pretty amazing!)
Again, the pages are covered in ‘Tea and silk’ and distressed edges. I decided to use some of my extra photo’s I have of the girls from their birthdays and the first sister Christmas.
I just kind of kept adding to each page until I couldn’t fit anything else. It has been so long since I scrap booked and I’ve gotten used to the small size of a card. These little tags made me feel nice and at home because I didn’t have a huge page to fill.
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend. We have no special plans and will probably just chill at home. There were some AWESOME thunder/lightning storms today, lots of rain to make the grass safe for all those fire works.

Did you see????
If you the Unity forum on SCS you’ll find some fun news……..HERE
yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited to be sharing the Unity love (officially) for the month of July! And to spread some more love I made a quick little reminder for my hubby for his desk. A reminder of who he belongs to:
I love that this doesn’t say, “Will you be mine?” but just “MINE”! The stamps in “Love is toxic” are so different and fun then anything else I have. Don’t you love unique, cool images?
This started out as a bare wood tag that you get with the handles/or hanging from the wood mounted Unity sets. I have a BUNCH of these……and this is not the only time you will be seeing these this week! I also can’t take credit for altering these, the idea was from Kristine who shared her awesome creation on the Unity forum. Thanks Kristine, you gave me so many ideas and I can’t wait to share them!

Going to the chapel
I needed to make a gift for a couple of friends that are getting married soon and started to look through my stash. I had a 6 page accordian tag album that’s been sitting and waiting to be used and decided that now was the time to use it. There are several MFT sets used for this, Boho blossoms, Going to the chapel and Behind the scenes.
I wanted a lot of dimension on the cover, so there are lots of primas in various sizes, MAMBI rhinestones, pearls and dew drops. On the wedding dress I used some micro beads and decided to cover a few glue dots in microbeads and place them on the cover. They were very messy, but I love the way they look and feel!
And a closeup of the beads on the dress and some of the bead dots:
It was hard to get a picture of the album open, so here are the first couple of pages. The inside was lined with DSP from ‘ginger blossom’ and ‘apple cider’ and then stamped and more primas.
Each of the tags has an image and a sentiment. I thought it would be nice for them to be able to put special pictures on them, or just use them as a little journal to jot down some of their favorite thoughts from the wedding.
Now I just need to make a matching card! I hope you enjoy!

I wanted to share a bracelet gift set I made last week with you. The bracelet features elements from the ‘Flirty flowers’ set from Unity Stamps. I stamped the solo dotted flower on a metal base and adhered crystals and a pearl to the center. For the two smaller circles I stamped the flower image and punched out one of the flower tops, then adhered a resin top to it. Rhinestones in celery and clear are linked between the metal disks, and the finished size is just over 7 inches with a lobster claw clasp. I wanted to present the bracelet in a gift box that would be usable for the recipient. I think the box would be really pretty sitting on a table or a dresser.
And then the card is interactive and features a tilting watering can. As soon as I saw this set I wanted to make the watering can move so it could water the flowers.
The paper on the card and box are from the ‘Caliope’ Prima Paper collection, I LOOOOVE it! And I think I’m a bit addicted to the Prima papers….they are just fantabulous! Tomorrow is Jacksonbelle challenge Tuesday so be sure to stop by and see what we’ve got cooking!
Happy Monday!

Pretty little box
This is one of the items I have been working on this week, a pretty little box:
I used the ‘Tea time Patten” from Unity stamps in chocolate ink on aqua mist CS and covered chipboard. The base and lid are 5×7 and the sides are 2 1/2 tall. The lid has 3 layers of chocolate, aqua and chocolate taffeta ribbons, MAMBI rhinestones and pearls. I also stamped the background pattern in distress ink and aqua ink on the main panel before I stamped the quote. I wanted the inside to be finished looking so I covered the opposite sides with cream card stock.
This was just so fun to create, I LOVE that background stamp and quote. I hope you enjoyed the peek at some of what I’ve been doing this week. I have a lot more to share so I’ll be back soon!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday……a basic frame
I hope everyone has had a great Monday and start to your week! I ended up without any appointments today, which is a rare thing and played all day at home. Ava and I painted with my watercolors and stamps this afternoon and she just had so much fun.
This week’s Jacksonbelle’s challenge was to use Basic Grey. So I made a desk picture frame with Sugared paper and the Grow a Garden stamp set.
I’m probably breaking some kind of alterable rule about posting a frame without pictures but I don’t know which photo’s to put in. Or really, who I’m giving it to may want to put different pictures on it then I would. Each side is 5 inches wide and 6 inches tall and the back side is finished with a coordinating paper and similar scallop edge. It’s a great desk size and will allow a lot of different sized pictures.
I stamped the butterflies in tea stain ink and a flower bunch in antique linen on top of them for depth. Added to it are some felt flowers, buttons and a few rhinestones. The metal rings that connect both pieces are very sturdy and the frames stand nicely on their own, I almost wish I worked at an office so I could have one…….almost.
Be sure to check out the other design team’s blogs for their take on the challenge, you can find them below! Oh and while you are peeking around, take a look at Jacksonbelle at the over 100 new Inkadinkado stamps!!!

Hip-Hop Accessories
When I received Melanies new set “Hip hop accessories” in the mail I was blown away, I mean 50 stamps is a LOT to take in! Then I started looking at the mini images and when I see mini images my mind goes to resin. So I decided to make a few accessories with the hips and hops!
I used one of the altoid tins that Gina sells and started with the top using the frame from Melanies set “Whats in your tin?” #1 and stamped the mini crown in versamark, the title in purely pom ink and then the butterfly from “Just so Hoppy” in lilac. Then I adhered the label and glued two brads on the sides and covered the top in clear baubles from Michaels. The edge was wrapped in pink ribbon and then on the bottom of the tin I alternated more baubles. I wanted it to look like a sparkly jewel, perfect for a little girl. I also lined the inside with ribbon and a bottom layer of paper on the tin.
Inside the tin are two hair clips and a bracelet with a charm. I cut out and colored the crown and embedded it into clear resin with a layer of glitter and then pink resin.
Isn’t it so cute? I made this for a special little girl who is celebrating a BIG victory soon, I am holding onto it until it’s time to celebrate. I thought for a little girl the crowns, sparkles and hair clips would have made me so happy as a little girl. Well obviously, they STILL make me happy, lol!
And I have a little peek of another piece I’ve been working on that I’ll show more tomorrow. The recipient of the treasure box has a little sister and I don’t want to send something without her getting anything. So here’s a peek at a little kangaroo pendant I’m finishing up.
Sean is on vacation this week and next and tomorrow is MY day! So after I meet my trainer and go to physical therapy (my darn ribs have moved…….she’s gently trying to push them back in place, lol) then I get to come home and STAMP, STAMP, STAMP!!!!! I have lots to do and lots to show so hold on tight, there’s a lot to look at this week!
Happy hump day!

It feels like I haven’t created anything in forever, when it was really just a week! I had a horrible migraine last weekend that slowed me down and then it hit me again on Friday! I have been taking some new medication and after talking to my doctor he thought it was due to the dosage, so we have lowered it and so far I haven’t had a headache for 2 days! That is REALLY big, because I have had to take aleve or advil everyday for almost 3 weeks. I’m hoping it lasts!
Anyway, since I wasn’t curled in a ball in pain I made my way down to the craft room today. I wanted to make something for Sean, just a little surprise. We have a lot of leftover Valentine candy in the house so I thought I would give him some in a cute tin!
I decided to cover only the top of the tin with some SU designer paper, I thought the stripes were a masculine choice. And then the very simple tag with “A little something” from Gina K’s ‘Tag you’re it!’ set. I used mono glue on the back of the tag and let it dry before I put it on, that way it will come off easily and not ruin the paper. I thought once he eats all the candy then he can use the tin at work for different punch cards at restaurants for lunch. His wallet is starting to look like George’s from Seinfeld. (I hope you know what I’m talking about! George’s wallet was about 6 inches thick and when he sat down he was on a slant! I love Seinfeld, soooo funny!) So I thought to get his wallet emptied of things he really only uses at work this little tin would be a great size.
I had mentioned that I got that mega kit from Cosmo Cricket on QVC the other day. And it just has the most beautiful papers in it! When I went though it the first night I saw a gorgeous piece that I knew I wanted to use with Gina’s new set “Baskets of happiness”.
I’m a sucker for flowers! I don’t think I could ever have enough flower stamps! And when I saw this set for the first time I knew it would be a favorite of mine. I really like the two papers together. The floral is the Cosmo cricket, but the other gingham is from Daisy D’s ‘be mine’ set. I got a 6×6 pad and wasn’t able to use it all before Valentines day. But there are quite a few prints in it that are great for any occasion.
I tried to make the eggs speckled, a little more rustic looking. But I have to admit I have never seen a speckled egg! I don’t live near any chicken farms and we don’t buy eggs at our house. So to me they look a little funny, but I hope they don’t look funny to you! At Gina’s release party last weekend, Kurtis had made green eggs when he used this stamp. I had NO idea that eggs were green outside of a Dr. Seuss book!
I hope you have all had a great weekend. I know many of you have tomorrow off as well, so a nice long break! My mom is bringing me her sewing machine tonight, yeah!!! But more importantly she is also showing me how to thread the needle and also leaving me written instructions. The whole needle issue is the #1 reason I don’t use sewing machines! I know the new “fancy” one’s do it for you, but this is not new or fancy so I have to know how to do it. But in order to make room for it, I have some reorganizing to do downstairs. So I better get moving!

To say that I’ve been a busy bee is an understatment. This past weekend Sean watched the girls so I could have uninterupted days to get things done. I had a lot of fun working on the MFT releases but I also had other ideas that I wanted to make as well.
I still have a few more that I haven’t gotten to make, and the ideas just keep coming! So hopefully you will all enjoy looking at my little things, whether they are gift containers or cards or 3D projects!
So for this I covered a clear top tin with a strip of decorated cardstock, and wrapped the lid with a delicious red velvet! Inside I was able to tuck in 5 hershey kisses with custom messages!
I just love this little box! And I think it’s a lovely way to give a Valentine treat to a friend or someone you don’t want to proclaim your undying love to. Sometimes Valentine cards or gift holders can be too mushy but I thought this was a good alternative.
I’ll have a few things to show you over the next few days as I work on other commitments. So I guess it was a good idea that I didn’t show these as they were made!
Thursday morning we are heading back to the UW autism research center for Audrey’s official diagnosis. And to find out if we qualify for their program and if so which one. There are 2 different treatment options so we wont find out what were doing until tomorrow. If you can, please keep us in your thoughts. I desperately want Audrey to get the treatment she needs and since there is a chance that we might not get accepted it worries me a teensy bit.
I’ll be back tomorrow (Thursday, I’m writing this LATE Wednesday night) with something else to share and an update on our diagnosis. Have a great day!

I thought I would share the treat wrappers I made with the new “Egg-stra special Easter” before I head off to the gym. None of these will rock your world, but they are cute all the same!
I took a screw top tin from specialtybottles.com and covered the bottom with blue CS and then colored and cut out tulips and popped them up on dimensionals around the bottom. I covered the edge of the lid in ribbon and then made a decorative top. I got that little chick in a package of 20 for $1.99 at Michaels, I love them!
And then I decided to use the sour cream container instructions that Beate made for us last week. These are so quick, simple and cute. I really like these for gifting candy.
And then finally I made a treat that I’m naming “Pixie Chicks”….heehee! Dixie Chicks/Pixie Chicks……I thought it was cute! I paper pieced part of the egg and used some diamond glaze on the spots.
Don’t forget about the MFT cocktail party tonight on SCS from 9-11 Eastern. There’s sure to be lots of fun and a chance for you to be the next guest designer!
