An exciting Thursday!
First up, there is so FUN NEWS to share………….
I will be joining Lindsey Botkin as a design team member for her FANTASTIC store Jascksonbelle Embellishments!!!! I am so excited! Lindsey has always performed outstanding service when I have bought from her. She carries some of my most favorite product lines and her member forum on SCS is just as sweet as pie.
I feel very blessed to join such an amazing group of women who are fabulous crafters. I hope we can all bring out the bestest in ourselves and others.
Another bit of fun news is I have joined the bloggers challenge group! So starting tomorrow you will get to see that weekly challenge. I love challenges and feel like I’d had my nose pressed at the glass the past few months watch as everyone played along. I’m very excited to start these and my first one is going live tomorrow morning!
Next up, some sad new……..
My run as Guest Designer with Gina k is over! The time flew by so quickly and it was over so fast. I had an amaizing time working with Gina and the incredibly talented design team. I will be forever greatful for being chosen. And I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what is happening with the new DT members and what they create.
So there will be some changes made to my blog over the next few days. I will finally, FINALLY figure out an easier way for you all to subscribe. I also need to link my new Jacksonbelle design team members and my bloggers challenge members. So bear with me as I drag my husband into my blogging world for help.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh the ATC…………………………………………………….
First let me tell you what the guidelines were. We were to make 10 ATC with my favorite things stamps and at least one embellishment. Anyway I got it into my head that I was going to make a story book and that the front and back pages of the book would be the required ATC size and then it would open to reveal a scene.
When I saw the bunny in the latest Can ya dig it? set I immediatley thought of the Beatrix Potter stories. All those naughty rabbits stealing lettuces from the farmer, the kittens who loose their dresses. So I wanted to create a mini story book based on that. The actual ATC size is the nesty book front and back and then the middle is slightly smaller. Olive satin ribbon ties it closed. When it is closed it doesn’t really look like much, but once you open it I hope it makes people smile. I absolutley loved creating this scene and had a blast coloring away. Although for 10 of them, it was a bit much by the end.
I sincerely hope that those in my swap like these, the whole thing just made me so stinkin happy.
Tomorrow come back for my first ever bloggers challenge…………this one scared me!

I have had an exhausting and looooooooooooong craft day! This is week 2 of Sean’s vacation and we are each taking a couple days to get things done for ourselves. Today I worked on finishing my ATC’s for the MFT swap. And then after that I got to working on some samples from the latest releases from Treehouse Stamps
The first one is from the new set called My Hero:
The layout started as Jen’s SFYTT, but somewhere along the way I swapped the paper placement and now it’s just inspired by her sketch, lol. I really tried to give the dudes some tan, sun kissed skin. Since I’m so pale you can practically see through me I had a hard time adding tan tones and worried it just looked like they had a weird skin condition. I hope they dont look sick, just tan, lol!
The next two samples are using the Elegant Sentiments :
I have so much more to show, I was on a crafting ROLL today I tell you! Tomorrow I have to take Audrey to her speech and OT and then it’s a relaxing day at home. We just got the new Mario Kart for the Wii and it’s soooooooooooo fun! Ava really loves to play it and surprisingly she’s not too shabby!
Happy Monday everyone!

But I’m not, LOL!! In fact, I have some SUPER cute plans with it and some other MFT sets that I just ordered last night. But I have to wait for them to come before I can make it. So for now, here is another little jungle card.
This is my 2nd submission into the MFT guest designer ATC challenge. I wanted to make something completely different then my chocolate card, so I went with cute! The lions head is stamped twice and up on dimensionals, and then the leaves are stamped and then stamped again on CS and cut out and up on dimensionals. The ribbon’s green stripe reminded me of a vine, so I thought it was perfect for the card.
There have been some great submissions today for the ATC contest. I still have my fingers and toes crossed! I LOVE MFT stamps and would just go crazy if I was a guest designer. I guess we will all have to wait until Saturday night when they announce who it is! I will not be shy about this, I WANT it to be ME! LOL……but I will have no hard feelings if someone does a better job, how could I?
I may be quiet over the next day or 2, I feel a bug coming on. Im getting a fever…..boo! But in totally cool news, Sean got me a minivan today! A Nissan Quest that is totally loaded! Well, loaded for 2004 but still LOADED! It was a super deal too, we couldnt pass it up. And I have no idea what half of the buttons actually do, so I have to read my owners manual. I dont know how to work the navigation or DVD or really anything more than how to drive it right now. But I feel so blessed because it has SO much space, which we need! And it’s a car for ME so I can get OUT of the house!
Have a great night everyone, only one more day until the weekend!

My favorite things is running a challenge right now in their member forum on SCS. The challenge is to create an ATC and incorporate it into your card. What’s the prize? A guest designer spot on the MFT team for January! And of course I had to participate!
I have never made an ATC before. To be honest the idea of a 3.5×2.5 space just seemed unexciting. But I wanted to do something fun and a little different. So I made the ATC more interactive by making it open and having a ’sweet’ surprise inside! The ATC alone has 11 layers of paper…..is that overkill?
And the ATC open:
The entries are due by Thursday night by 8:30 pm EASTERN time and the winner will be announced Saturday. Fingers and toes crossed!
The DEETS:
