Where am I hiding?
So sorry to be absent for this long! I have been having issues with my back so I haven’t been stamping in the evenings. I do have cards finished and images colored ready to go and be photographed so I’ll try to get back to my “job” today. I have a PT appointment this morning and then I’ll try to pop in before I go to the UW this afternoon.
Thanks for popping in!

A free for all…..any and all of your Jacksonbelle products together on one card. So here is what I came up with. ‘Sugared’ BG, prima corner stamps, Inkadinkado sentiment, dew drops, stickles. (and a bit of non-JBelle stuff as well)

I have a friend who is due witha girl in August, so I think this is going to go to her.
Sean and I went to a wedding this weekend and it was actually nice! I saw that because the thought of going to most weddings makes me cringe, but this was different. They had their own vows which actually didn’t sound cheesey, but they sounded sincere. And there were so many people to see and catch up with that the night flew by. Then Sunday I woke up with a migraine……..so there ya go. It totally made me feel like I have been out of the swing of things for months.
I have the CUTEST Sara K to share with you tomorrow! Be sure to stop by and check it out!

Filed under Everything else | Comment (0)Spoon full of sugar challenge
I discovered a new weekly challenge for fans of Rachelle Ann Miller and Sugar Nellie stamps called “Spoon full of sugar”. The first challenge was a summer theme, and since I had 3 Lily stamps to choose from I decided to focus on the colors and overall feeling and not the paticular image.

The base is guava but other than that and the PTI white every other layer is from the Prima Steel toe Mary Jane collection, which also includes the ribbon and some delicious felt flowers!
I really liked the summery feeling of these colors and just thought of them sitting on a bench on a warm summer day just loving.
Off to run to bed, super early start to my day tomorrow, thanks for stopping by!
Stamps: Lily and Milo-
CS: guava, PTI white Prima collection Steel toe mary jane from Jacksonbelle
Ink: adirondack black
Accessories: slit punch, copics, ribbon, primas, paper piercer, nesties.
Late night type test
Amber had this on her blog and I was curious so I gave it a go. I haven’t typed regularly since highschool……over 12 years ago.
I bet my sister will have fun with this! If you take it, let me know how you do!

While checking emails and catching up on my blog reading this morning I found out I was given this award by 2 people, Bee and Meredith, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Here are the rules:
1. You pick five blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter what language.
2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and the link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4. Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of Arte y Pico blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
There are so many people that I would like to give this to, and so many have already been given it. Bee would have been one of those, but Lauren was a smart cookie and gave it to her! So here are my 5:
1) Shannan at With Feathers and sequins. She just makes the most beautiful cards and is tempting me with Bella’s every time I see her creations!
2) Carole at Mothers little helper. Carole not only makes gorgeous and wonderful creations, but always makes me laugh every time I visit her blog.
3) Corie at Creations by Corie. I love Cories cards! She recently started participating in the SCS challenges and I’m so glad she is because now I can see MORE of what she makes! She is also the criss-cross Queen, Criss-cross Corie!
4) Kim at Kraftin Kimmies Korner. Kim is such a sweetheart and makes the cutest cards with so much love and charachter! I love seeing what new eye candy she has every day.
5) The last spot is for EVERYONE who inspires me daily through SCS or their blog! THANK YOU for sharing your creations with us all!
And now I’m off to notify the ladies above and go play with my girls!
Filed under Everything else | Comment (0)I’m here…….
I’ve had a VERY busy weekend! I spent Saturday afternoon painting my craft room, yippee! I used a Martha Stewart paint color called ‘Vintage Map’, it’s an aqua/robins egg blue shade. And while the paint website won’t let me save a picture of the paint sample I did find this picture on google that uses the same paint. So here’s a sneak peek of the wall color:

Last week Sean and I went to Ikea to look for some new office furniture and other fun stuff for the house and found what we were looking for. So on Sunday we went back and got my bookshelf unit and storage supplies. We also bought my wall mounted desks that will run the length of one side of the room. All of the furniture is a brown black so it will be so pretty with the light aqua walls. The only thing left to get is my desk and we are getting that and the last odds and ends in a week or so. The minivan was PACKED when we left!
We ended up getting the girls a bunch of stuff yesterday, a crawl through tube/tunnel, a tent, tables and chairs and a fun rug that looks like a map with a road for driving cars. They had a lot of fun playing last night! By the time we put them to bed we didn’t have the energy to put any of the furniture together, so that is left for tonight!
So as you can see I have been busy, busy, busy this weekend and not able to use my room. But I should be able to get back to some fun stuff tomorrow after I get nice and organized tonight!
I hope you all had a great weekend. I was without my computer since we dismantled the office/craft room (Sean shares a corner of it with me) and I found out today that I was nominated for a couple of awards, THANK YOU! I will be back later to comment on that and be a good blogger.
Have a wonderful Monday!

Filed under Everything else | Comment (1)Cute cookies, too good to keep to myself!
Ok, so this is one of the 25 projects I’ve talked about and I wasn’t planning on showing it. But honestly they are too cute and it’s a great idea and you might want to use it for Valentine’s day.
So I was standing at the checkout looking at magazines and decided to open up Martha, and the first thing I see are these felt fortune cookies! They were so adorable and I had some ideas so I bought the magazine so I could make these.
I made some as they were intended in the magazine, red and pink for Valentine’s day:
And then I decided to play around with them and make wedding favors!
If you would like to make them, they are really simple. I made a circle template using the largest circle in my coluzzle cutter, approximately 4 1/2 inches. Then I traced around the template on the felt, and I could get 4 circles out of one piece of felt. Once they are cut out you put down some tacky double sided tape and then a strip of floral wire and then covered with coordinating ribbon. Then you just cut out 4 1/2 x 1/2 inch strips of paper and make your fortunes!
The cost for these as wedding favors would be about 50 cents or less, making them SO DANG AFFORDABLE FOR A WEDDING! I believe that Sean and I paid $5 (probably more) per person for cookies and a candle at our wedding.
I hope you enjoyed these cookies. Sean really liked them and he is getting some on the 14th! I have a lot of things I need to get done over the next day and a half so I may not post anything until Monday. But from then on you’ll have plenty to look at!
Enjoy your weekend!
