Feet first…………
This is me, jumping feet first into the unknown. Scared, exhilirated yet THRILLED to share my original art with others. Just jumping in with both feet into a new area of my life and seeing where it takes me.

2 hit wonder!
I found out today that I am no longer a one hit wonder, ala Dee-lite “Groove is in the heart” . Great song, makes everyone boogie, but just that one song everyone knows. I am now a 2 hit wonder, ala C+C Music Factory, “Everybody dance now” & “Things that make you go hmmmmm”. You hear one and want more, then remember the other song you love from them!
What am I talking about?
I found out that one of my cards I recently made with my Unity stamps is being published! Until today I only had one card accepted for publication so I felt like a one hit wonder.
And in case anyone is thinking I’m bragging or “Sheesh, MORE great news…….again!”, you have to understand that for the 2 published cards, there are about 30 rejects! Including one of my all time favorites, baby buttercup.
I hope that no matter how old I get or how many times I get the golden ticket email, I always feel this excited! Send your cards in, you never know!

If you the Unity forum on SCS you’ll find some fun news……..HERE
yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited to be sharing the Unity love (officially) for the month of July! And to spread some more love I made a quick little reminder for my hubby for his desk. A reminder of who he belongs to:
I love that this doesn’t say, “Will you be mine?” but just “MINE”! The stamps in “Love is toxic” are so different and fun then anything else I have. Don’t you love unique, cool images?
This started out as a bare wood tag that you get with the handles/or hanging from the wood mounted Unity sets. I have a BUNCH of these……and this is not the only time you will be seeing these this week! I also can’t take credit for altering these, the idea was from Kristine who shared her awesome creation on the Unity forum. Thanks Kristine, you gave me so many ideas and I can’t wait to share them!

Introducing Chloe Marie……and some breaking news!
It’s Tuesday Jacksonbelle challenge time again, and this week I would like to introduce you to a sweet little gal named Chloe Marie:
Chloe Marie is a new line of paper, chipboard elements and rub on’s from Daisy D. It is so seriously sweet! I decided to use my Patterned BugsInka set to go with this as well as the chelsea sentiments set. I stamped the long butterfly trail in bayou ink onto the chloe marie. The sentiment is stamped in basic grey ink and the ladybugs from the patterned bugs set in purely pom ink. I added shading around the ladybugs with a stardust pen, then highlighted the flowers with a white pen and used a silver copic spica on the head and antennae. Sewing, distressing and paper piercing were added and then the wee, littlest buttons you have ever seen were added. Primaswith more buttons and then white ric rac may arts ribbon with some paper piercing on either side.
Be sure to check out the other DT’s members blogs for more inspiring creations:

- And now onto some extra EXCITING news!!!!! you may remember these cards
Well I had wandered over to the Stampavie website to see if I was missing out on new items. And I see a banner for DT submission.I believe this was 3 days before it ended, so I was cutting it close. I had such a hard mix of emotions about this because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the styles of these stamps. They make me happy in a way few stamps do.But I realized that these stamps had a strong following in Europe and would have a lot of peopel submitting their work. I know that when I submit to a magazine or even a DT call that it’s possible submissions are given from all over the world. But this was definately going to be open to a lot more people then I could imagine. And I almost didn’t want to put myself up for rejection. But 2 days before the deadline I sent it in and have been waiting for 9 days until this morning…….
The 2008 Stampavie DT:
Claudia Rosa (USA)
Christa Knegt (Netherlands)
Diane Zechman (USA)
Isabelle Norris (UK)
Jay Jay (Germany)
Kine Saatvedt (Norway)
Lenaik Duluc (France)
Michelle Oatman (USA)
Sandrine Vachon (France)
Sue Nelson (USA)
My name is on the list but I removed it because I wanted to give you the links to all the fabulous ladies! It has been an AMAZING month for myself and I can say that this was the most stressful DT call I have ever participated in. And simply because it was international and I had no idea what style they were looking for since this is their first DT call and team. I am amazed and want to pinch myself because I am a part of such talented ladies. Thank you for allowing me to gush about my excitement!!! I was jumping up and down in my pajamas this morning when I saw my name!
And now I’m off to watch my trusty “Golden Girls” I love them!
Some things are moving around on my blog, I need a better system for linking everyone and keeping it tidy.So far this summer is turning out fantastic for me, unfortch I can’t tell you just yet. But wait because things are really ONLY getting better! It’s been a very VERY good week.

I was checking Nichole’s blog this morning and saw that my project for last month received an honorable mention! I had uploaded this to the PTI gallery and then forgot to show it here, so here it is!
I made the box using my scor-pal to hold 4×4 note cards. I made 2 of each pink and aqua to fit inside the box. I thought it would be a cute shower gift or just something fun for a couple on their anniversary.
Thanks Nichole!

getting published that is…….
On Friday I got an email telling me that a card I submitted was accepted by Paper Crafts magazine, it will be in the Card Creations #6!!!!!!!! YIPPEE!!! Yes, I am TOOTING my own horn, lol! I’m so excited!
With my craft room finally coming into place I feel more inspired to create. And I wanted to use my new ‘Birds Galore’ set by Inkadinkado and the ‘Honey Pie’ cosmo cricket paper, both from Jacksonbelle.
I just LOVE this bird! I have no idea why I love bird stamps, I don’t collect other bird things. But when I see a bird stamp I’m always drawn to them.
The sentiment is a rub-on from SU, and so is the little flower flourish underneath, which I was pretty pleased that matched the stamp so well. The flowers behind the sentiment are the new 3 flower punch from SU. I doodled around the edges with a stardust pen and then a white gel pen.
And now I’m off to play with the girls. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and have a great start to your week!

I guess it’s officially official now, LOL! Gina K has her design team page updated on the website and she has made an announcement on her blog, here!
And I’ll let you in on a silly secret………it took me 4 days to write my little bio! I could NOT for the life of me think of anything to say about myself in such a short space. I kept getting out about my family and then it was blank, and just sat that way for 3 days. Then somehow on the fourth day I was able to come up with something that said a little about me. It’s not the best bio in the world, but it will do! I don’t know if it’s hard for you to write within a limit but it sure is for me! I obviously have no problem just blabbering on and on, but tell me to keep it short and I freeze!
Go check out Gina’s blog and see all the fabulous people that make up her senior design team and the guest designers. It’s a really good looking bunch!
And tomorrow I will finally have some cute new stuff to show you!
