Love and bliss
The sketch challenge over on the MFT site this week is a larg circle and then 2 smaller circles to the sides. And while I was busy thinking about all the scenes I could create in that large circle, one of my first and favorite MFT sets brought be back, “Boho blossoms”.
So I decided to use my new favorite color combo; sweet blush, soft sky and olive and get to work. I cut out the white and olive circles with my coluzzle and sponged soft sky onto the edges of the white. For the olive piece I used my corner rounder, paper piercer and white gel pen. I inked up the stamp on the edges with a regal rose marker, then pounced my sweet blush ink spot onto the stamp, then cut it out. I traced all the open parts of the heart with a clear spica pen for some shimmer and shine. The center flower of the heart is made with cotton candy stickles and white liquid pearls.
Once all the pieces were in place I started to dot around it with white liquid pearls. And then I decided to frame the ends with my dew drops.
And that is my card!
I have been filling up my shopping carts at CHF, Bella and High hopes with my fingers right over the purchase. Don’t know what I’m waiting for, I know I’ll like the stamps. I’m just afraid I’ll start adding even more companies to my addiction.
I’m sure you can understand how I feel. What are some of the companies that you have resisted? Or have you been able to resist them?
Happy Wednesday!

It’s MFT sketch challenge time again, so here is my card for this week:
This ribbon always gives me troubles. I like it and I think it’s pretty but it seems hard to use. You can’t really make a bow, it’s stretchy and thick and it just never lays right for me. It might just be me though. But I think it’s a weird ribbon. I wish SU would make this same color and style but in a thinner easier to use version.
Super short today, I’m really tired and need to go to bed!

I think I might need to come up with a new category for cards made with the upcoming ‘Twisted Sentiments’ set from MFT!
Sean came home early today since I’ve been sick all weekend so instead of laying down like a good person would, I decided to tackle the new MFT challenge!
I decided that for the ultimate romantic bathroom there needed to be some candle light, so I used the candle from “Meet me at the cafe” and made two sconces. The rest is all ‘Time for the bubbly’ and the sentiment of course is from ‘Twisted Sentiments’.
I have a few more ideas for some of these sentiments, so hopefully I can knock them out before Wednesday. I think my stamps are gonna be in for a wild ride this week!
I have lot’s more to show, so I’ll be back tomorrow morning with something more calm and relaxing.

Today we woke up to snow! I saw it in the middle of the night when I was up and then this morning I noticed I didnt hear our neighbors go to work. And that only happens when there is a lot of snow. So Sean worked from home, and so did my mom. But in the afternoon Ava got to go to grandma’s house to play……..and so did I!
I made this card for the MFT sketch challenge:
I also tried to do the blooming dahlia for the TLC challenge today. But I could NOT for the life of me get those darn flowers to look good. So after 3 attempts and a lot of sighing I gave up.
This card reminds me of last year at Valentines day. I told Sean what I wanted was a box of See’s chocolates and that’s exactly what I got! YUM!!!
And of course I worked on my “top secret” projects……and here is the smallest of sneak peeks:
I cannot even begin to tell you how EXCITED I am about what I made today! I am in stamping, paper crafting heaven right now!
I was tagged a while ago and I need to get to that, but not right now. My mind’s got a lot going on and I need to give it a rest. Too many idea’s and not enough time!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week started off good!

I got around to making a couple cards last night before my cold set in. I have had a fever off and on all night and today and I have a sore throat. Just plain icky feeling!
But before I got sick I tackled the MFT sketch challenge and the SCS sketch challenges. Here’s the MFT first:
I just love this set and my new paper! I got my package from All that scraps yesterday and there was loads of new paper for me! And some new dew drops, gotta love those! I colored the flower from the SU pretties kit with a copic to get a better match to the DP. I also drew under each raindrop with a sakura glitter pen, the rain was done in irridescent ice EP. And I added some waterfall stickles to the puddle. It’s raining glitter!
And here’s the SCS sketch challenge:
I’ve had this crafty secrets set for about a week and I have been dying to ink it up! I have been debating about this set for about 6 months or so and I finally caved in and got it, I love it! I just love retro stuff, so I knew I would like this set. I have my eye on 2 other crafty secrets sets…..in time. I used some more new DP ‘catching butterflies’ on this, the colors seemed to go so nicely with the image.
I am hoping to get the tutorial for the stamped pendants this weekend and also get the dimensions for the recipe box together too! I just have to do some other stuff first.
Tomorrow Sean and I are going to the Childrens Hospital for a class that is for parents with children who have autism. They hold the class once a quarter, so we “lucked” out that it happens right now. No luck I don’t think, too many coincidences for it all to be luck. Next week will be super busy for us, well actually the next 3 weeks and then I’m sure it will get even more crazy.
I still have my training at the gym Wed and Fridays, every other Monday is my therapist, every other Thursday is my psychiatrist, on Tuesday Audrey has her OT/ST and then next Thursday (and the following 2 Thursdays) we are the the UW autism research center for the official diagnosis and to decide on treatment. And then the following Tuesday at 2pm we have someone coming to the house that’s from the Snohomish County autism center. They are meeting with us and finding out about Audrey and then they will send someone out to the house to work with us at home. Not too much time to spare.
Oh and next Wednesday is Ava’s 4th birthday, so throw that into the mix.
I’m gonna go crawl under a blanket and watch some tv with Ava. Have a great Wednesday!

Today is the 20th, so that means it’s celebrate MFT day!
I really love this set, Punny farm. I love farm animals, and these are just so darn cute! I realized after I made the card that it looks like the horse might stomp on one of those cute little chicks. But I’m pretty sure he isnt.
I am also having a hard time with the new camera. If I use it without the flash and close up, then it’s too dark. If I use a flash on the close up, then it’s too bright. And sometimes it focuses on the wrong thing and makes other parts look blurry, like on this picture. I’m just going to have to keep playing around with it.
Today was super cleaning day for me. I cleaned 2 bathrooms, got rid of stuff in the fridge, dusted, vaccumed. AND if that wasnt enough……………..I finally cleaned my craft room! I got rid of so much stuff! I recycled so much 12×12 DP, stuff I’ve had for 5 or 6 years. I wasnt using it so I decided to recycle it. And I organized and cleaned and got my desk all nice and organized! It felt soooo good!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ava got to make Valentine cookies with my Mom today, pink hearts with sprinkles! And the girls had some fun with a new aqua doodle. It was a great weekend!

Thank you all so much for your emails and messages of love and support. I have really appreciated it!
When Cindy posted this weeks sketch on the MFT board at SCS, I immediately saw a clock. So I thought it would be super cute to make a clock with the hands pointed to one of the conversation heart in MFT’s new set “Be mine”.
You’ll have to excuse the extra bright picture. We got a new camera and I’m having the darndest time learning how to use it!
I used the ambassador monogram set from Papertrey for the numbers, they were the only numbers I have! I also got to use my new dew drops, hydrangea. And the new Daisy D patterned paper. I got them both from Jacksonbelle and it was SUPER fast shipping! I’ve had the dew drops sitting on my kitchen counter and Ava has been eyeing them BIG time. She loves sparklies!
And now I am off to watch some “Golden Girls”. Sean is at a friends house tonight so it’s me, a peanut butter cookie and Bea Arthur!

The MFT guest designer challenge that is! And this months request was a doozie! You had to do something that was NOT a square or rectangle. For good reason this was hard. And mostly because I had just got my NEW scorpal in the mail today and I was DYING to make a box! But ah…boxes are usually square right? Or rectangle….and I just didnt have it in me to make up my own design.
Soooooo, I looked around the ol’ craft room at my supplies and started to work. But I wasnt feeling it. And then I remembered my little chipboard house I bought back in August! That is neither square nor rectangle! PERFECT!
Basically I had this idea that the woman is out taking her dog for a walk and she comes home to find her house turned upside down! The wild animals broke in, stole her wine and are having a party! So I stamped and cut out 2 elephants, 4 monkeys, a lion and a giraffe from ‘It’s a jungle”. Then I stamped some wine glasses and wine from “Time for the bubbly”. And of course the lady and dog are from “By the seashore”.
This is the kind of project that I wish I had a week to work on and tweek and make it “just so”. But alas, I turn into a mom tomorrow morning and wont have the time to twerk it throughout the day. That and my sleeping pills are kicking in and Im getting tired.
I hope you enjoy my animals house! I think it’s pretty cute!

I was surfing the web and came across the new MFT sketch challenge over on splitcoast. Sean had left to run some errands so I had some time to myself. With the girls asleep I decided to play!
I have been wanting to ink up my new “Meet me at the cafe” set for over a week, but the Holidays just got in the way. So now I have used it and I just LOOOOOOOOOOVE it! I love all the little elements of it and how much you can color.
I used the small heart scroll to make a DP on the pink layer and the awning. And for the white background I used boho blossoms, I just love that set! And I had to give one of the ladies some jewelry by adding a few dots of liquid pearls for a bracelet.
I hope you enjoy it and I should have some time tomorrow afternoon for something fun! Let’s hope that Sean get’s home early tomorrow!
The DEETS:
Stamps: Meet me at the cafe, boho blossoms-MFT
Ink: graphite brilliance black, purely pom, pretty in pink-Papertrey
CS: black, purely pom, pretty in pink-SU white-Papertrey
Accessories: copics, sponge, hodgepodge hardware, liquid pearls, dimensionals, brads
Squeaky and in need of some oil
Today I stamped for the first time in a week. It felt very strange. I havent taken that long of a break in about 7 months, so I feel VERY rusty coming back to it today.
I decided to tackle the MFT sketch and use it as a starting point for cards I need to make. My youngest daughter Audrey turned 2 at the end of November and I want to send out her pictures to friends and family. I wanted to match the colors of her outfit; light purple and cream. So I used almost amethyst and very vanilla with a little pretty in pink thrown in for good measure! I also wanted to keep these nice and flat for mailing purposes, no dimensionals, brads or “extra’s” to weight them down. So I opted for liquid pearls in the corners for my embellishment as well as a nice flat pink gingham ribbon.
I only inked up the 2 candles to give a visual message about her 2nd birthday. And the oval under them was stamped off on another piece of paper first so that it wasnt too bold and took your eye away from the candles. I took a copic marker and lined under the sentiment for a little somethin’, somethin’.
I hope to get back into the swing of things over the next few days and be back to my stampin self after the first.
