Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail!
Hooray! The day is finally here to reveal the new MFT sets and to show you what I’ve been busy with! I have several things to show you with this new set ‘Eggstra Special Easter’, it is soooo cute! The bunnies and chicks in this set are just adorable!
So for this first card I decided to get a little twisted! And if you’ve been following on the MFT boards at SCS or on Kim’s blog, then you know she has a ‘Twisted Sentiments’ set coming up. The different sentiments are AWESOME!!!!! When I first saw it I was speechless, that doesn’t usually happen. So I think this new set will be something that becomes a favorite for a lot of us who want to add a little more spice and humor to our cards!
A yummy chocolate bunny! I masked off the left ear when I stamped the bunny so I could take a bite out of him, LOL! And I wanted to make him look as much like chocolate as possible, so after coloring him with dark browns I added little white eyes with my gel pen and a pink nose with some cotton candy stickles. Then I covered him in thick diamond glaze for a nice shiny glaze. A piece of foil to the bottom is the finishing touch to a chocolate bunny! And the “Yummy” is from the ‘Twisted Sentiments’ set.
For the other bunny in the set he was all about jumping and movement, so I just had to make something that showed off his hopping skills!
Sir hops-a-lot is on the good old penny, dimensional, penny trick and he moves nice and smooth on the track! I added some white liquid applique to his tail for extra bunny softness! I kept playing with this over and over again yesterday, I just love cards that are interactive! Yes, I’m a dork!!!
Ok, that’s it for now but I have plenty more so be sure to check back! And while were at it, be sure to come to the new release cocktail party on splitcoast at the My favorite things forums on Wenesday February 6 from 9-11 pm EASTERN. There’s sure to be lots of fun and information about how you can be the NEXT GUEST DESIGNER! Trust me, it’s oodles of fun!!

Today we woke up to snow! I saw it in the middle of the night when I was up and then this morning I noticed I didnt hear our neighbors go to work. And that only happens when there is a lot of snow. So Sean worked from home, and so did my mom. But in the afternoon Ava got to go to grandma’s house to play……..and so did I!
I made this card for the MFT sketch challenge:
I also tried to do the blooming dahlia for the TLC challenge today. But I could NOT for the life of me get those darn flowers to look good. So after 3 attempts and a lot of sighing I gave up.
This card reminds me of last year at Valentines day. I told Sean what I wanted was a box of See’s chocolates and that’s exactly what I got! YUM!!!
And of course I worked on my “top secret” projects……and here is the smallest of sneak peeks:
I cannot even begin to tell you how EXCITED I am about what I made today! I am in stamping, paper crafting heaven right now!
I was tagged a while ago and I need to get to that, but not right now. My mind’s got a lot going on and I need to give it a rest. Too many idea’s and not enough time!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week started off good!

I got around to making a couple cards last night before my cold set in. I have had a fever off and on all night and today and I have a sore throat. Just plain icky feeling!
But before I got sick I tackled the MFT sketch challenge and the SCS sketch challenges. Here’s the MFT first:
I just love this set and my new paper! I got my package from All that scraps yesterday and there was loads of new paper for me! And some new dew drops, gotta love those! I colored the flower from the SU pretties kit with a copic to get a better match to the DP. I also drew under each raindrop with a sakura glitter pen, the rain was done in irridescent ice EP. And I added some waterfall stickles to the puddle. It’s raining glitter!
And here’s the SCS sketch challenge:
I’ve had this crafty secrets set for about a week and I have been dying to ink it up! I have been debating about this set for about 6 months or so and I finally caved in and got it, I love it! I just love retro stuff, so I knew I would like this set. I have my eye on 2 other crafty secrets sets…..in time. I used some more new DP ‘catching butterflies’ on this, the colors seemed to go so nicely with the image.
I am hoping to get the tutorial for the stamped pendants this weekend and also get the dimensions for the recipe box together too! I just have to do some other stuff first.
Tomorrow Sean and I are going to the Childrens Hospital for a class that is for parents with children who have autism. They hold the class once a quarter, so we “lucked” out that it happens right now. No luck I don’t think, too many coincidences for it all to be luck. Next week will be super busy for us, well actually the next 3 weeks and then I’m sure it will get even more crazy.
I still have my training at the gym Wed and Fridays, every other Monday is my therapist, every other Thursday is my psychiatrist, on Tuesday Audrey has her OT/ST and then next Thursday (and the following 2 Thursdays) we are the the UW autism research center for the official diagnosis and to decide on treatment. And then the following Tuesday at 2pm we have someone coming to the house that’s from the Snohomish County autism center. They are meeting with us and finding out about Audrey and then they will send someone out to the house to work with us at home. Not too much time to spare.
Oh and next Wednesday is Ava’s 4th birthday, so throw that into the mix.
I’m gonna go crawl under a blanket and watch some tv with Ava. Have a great Wednesday!

Today is the 20th, so that means it’s celebrate MFT day!
I really love this set, Punny farm. I love farm animals, and these are just so darn cute! I realized after I made the card that it looks like the horse might stomp on one of those cute little chicks. But I’m pretty sure he isnt.
I am also having a hard time with the new camera. If I use it without the flash and close up, then it’s too dark. If I use a flash on the close up, then it’s too bright. And sometimes it focuses on the wrong thing and makes other parts look blurry, like on this picture. I’m just going to have to keep playing around with it.
Today was super cleaning day for me. I cleaned 2 bathrooms, got rid of stuff in the fridge, dusted, vaccumed. AND if that wasnt enough……………..I finally cleaned my craft room! I got rid of so much stuff! I recycled so much 12×12 DP, stuff I’ve had for 5 or 6 years. I wasnt using it so I decided to recycle it. And I organized and cleaned and got my desk all nice and organized! It felt soooo good!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ava got to make Valentine cookies with my Mom today, pink hearts with sprinkles! And the girls had some fun with a new aqua doodle. It was a great weekend!

It’s a rainy Saturday and after having my stamps for over a week they are finally seeing ink! I’m a little tired today after having my 2nd dentist appointment yesterday. I cant open my mouth very wide so eating has been difficult. I also cant eat anything spicy or too hot, which is what I love to eat! Darn dentist!
Here’s my take on Beate’s weekend sketch:
I love this set! And I love that paper! I bought a few crafty secrets stamp sets and I decided to get a pad of their pastel DP. It has a lot of foo-foo patterns in it, but this peeling paint felt very farm-like to me!
I’ve got another card coming up for another sketch challenge, so look out!

Thank you all so much for your emails and messages of love and support. I have really appreciated it!
When Cindy posted this weeks sketch on the MFT board at SCS, I immediately saw a clock. So I thought it would be super cute to make a clock with the hands pointed to one of the conversation heart in MFT’s new set “Be mine”.
You’ll have to excuse the extra bright picture. We got a new camera and I’m having the darndest time learning how to use it!
I used the ambassador monogram set from Papertrey for the numbers, they were the only numbers I have! I also got to use my new dew drops, hydrangea. And the new Daisy D patterned paper. I got them both from Jacksonbelle and it was SUPER fast shipping! I’ve had the dew drops sitting on my kitchen counter and Ava has been eyeing them BIG time. She loves sparklies!
And now I am off to watch some “Golden Girls”. Sean is at a friends house tonight so it’s me, a peanut butter cookie and Bea Arthur!

I am a DIVA! Well, if you know me in real life then this isnt a surprise! But I actually get to wear that title today, haha!
The MFT design team is hosting scrapbooking challenges on SCS today and I was asked to join! How could I say no!!! So be sure to head on over to see the rest of the inspiring scrapbook pages and challenges, HERE.
And here is the page I made. I used my youngest daughter, Audrey’s birthday picture for the layout. And the background was created with Kim’s fabulous digi papers!
She’s cute, huh? The cupcakes and balloons are from “Icing on the cake”. And we just got our new camera so I was able to get a super close up of the cupcake detail:
My challenge is to use faux stitching on your page! And if you want some bonus points, throw in some digi papers! So go on……get scrappin!
The DEETS:
Stamps: Icing on the cake-MFT
CS: pretty in pink, pale plum, white-SU kiss digi papers-MFT
Ink: palette noir
Accessories: dimensionals, liquid pearl, stickles, buttons
Time again to do the challenge
The MFT guest designer challenge that is! And this months request was a doozie! You had to do something that was NOT a square or rectangle. For good reason this was hard. And mostly because I had just got my NEW scorpal in the mail today and I was DYING to make a box! But ah…boxes are usually square right? Or rectangle….and I just didnt have it in me to make up my own design.
Soooooo, I looked around the ol’ craft room at my supplies and started to work. But I wasnt feeling it. And then I remembered my little chipboard house I bought back in August! That is neither square nor rectangle! PERFECT!
Basically I had this idea that the woman is out taking her dog for a walk and she comes home to find her house turned upside down! The wild animals broke in, stole her wine and are having a party! So I stamped and cut out 2 elephants, 4 monkeys, a lion and a giraffe from ‘It’s a jungle”. Then I stamped some wine glasses and wine from “Time for the bubbly”. And of course the lady and dog are from “By the seashore”.
This is the kind of project that I wish I had a week to work on and tweek and make it “just so”. But alas, I turn into a mom tomorrow morning and wont have the time to twerk it throughout the day. That and my sleeping pills are kicking in and Im getting tired.
I hope you enjoy my animals house! I think it’s pretty cute!

The ways to use it challenge today on splitcoast is flowers! Seems pretty vague and easy right? Well, I knew I wanted to break into my stash of Prima’s and I wasnt alone. Looks like a lot of us hoard our flowers, they were all over the place today!
I used “Meet me at the cafe” again but a little different. I cut a window in the rust CS to set my scene. Then I stamped the cafe sign in stazon black and lined up the flourishes in the corners and stamped them in white craft ink and then used a rust EP. The image was colored in copics and one of the ladies got a touch of stickles on her shirt!
And as you can see there are a TON of flowers! I did get a bit carried away………………..I know.
I made climbing vines on either side of the window and then adhered the primas with glue dots. The awning was double stamped and sponged around the edges for a little extra depth. Plush the rust CS had rust and cocoa ink sponged on it to make it less solid.
The DEETS:
Stamps: Meet me at the cafe, It’s a jungle out there-MFT
Ink: really rust, close to cocoa, old olive, almost artichoke-SU graphite brilliance black
CS: really rust, polka dots and paisley-DSP-SU white-papertrey
Accessories: transparency, copics, sponge, rust EP, dimensionals
Good wine, good friends
I was surfing the web and came across the new MFT sketch challenge over on splitcoast. Sean had left to run some errands so I had some time to myself. With the girls asleep I decided to play!
I have been wanting to ink up my new “Meet me at the cafe” set for over a week, but the Holidays just got in the way. So now I have used it and I just LOOOOOOOOOOVE it! I love all the little elements of it and how much you can color.
I used the small heart scroll to make a DP on the pink layer and the awning. And for the white background I used boho blossoms, I just love that set! And I had to give one of the ladies some jewelry by adding a few dots of liquid pearls for a bracelet.
I hope you enjoy it and I should have some time tomorrow afternoon for something fun! Let’s hope that Sean get’s home early tomorrow!
The DEETS:
Stamps: Meet me at the cafe, boho blossoms-MFT
Ink: graphite brilliance black, purely pom, pretty in pink-Papertrey
CS: black, purely pom, pretty in pink-SU white-Papertrey
Accessories: copics, sponge, hodgepodge hardware, liquid pearls, dimensionals, brads
