I feel pretty, oh so pretty!

When I was little my Mom, sister and I made a house of dreams. We used catalogues and magazines to cut out pictures of furniture and rooms that we liked and glued them onto a big piece of cardboard. I always liked the vanity and stools with layers of fabric, lace and sheer yumminess.

This sweet little skunk has a dream room, with delicious pink goodness! And a little bird to help her get ready for her big date. Don’t you wish you had a little friend to help with your perfume or lipgloss?

Sweet little baby

I’ve been working on this little baby for the last couple of days, the face was giving me troubles. It took 3 different vintage cards for inspiration to get this completed, just for the baby.  I like that just by changing the color of the hair bow it could be a boy or girl, perfect for baby cards!

Happy Birthday little bird!

I found a cute little vintage card with a deer and a bluebird sitting on it’s tail last week. The bird was so cute so I made this little fellow but I wasn’t sure what to do with him. So I put a little party hat on him and decided it would be cute as a birthday card.

I always have an issue with painting and how much detail to bring back or how much to leave blended. I don’t seem to have the same problem with watercolors, but with anything creamy or opaque then it stumps me.

Being sick gave me some extra computer time to create my cute little crab friend. If crabs had thumbs Louie would be giving you a thumbs up, cause he’s a supportive and cute dude!

3 sick girls

Audrey came down with a cold on Tuesday afternoon, by evening it was a full on mucous attack. Last night Ava woke up delirious and fevering, while I started to get a sore throat. Today we are all sick, in jammies with fevers/coughs/runny noses.

We aren’t as cute as this though…….

Getting to know you…..

So I’ve been making friends with a new program on my copmuter…….illustrator! Here are a few bits of eye candy for you. I’ve been playing for 2 days and still have no idea what the heck is going on, but I plan to master it!
