Some cards, a new title and a question
Yesterday when I mentioned I had 2 new cards being published, someone wanted to know what kind of hit I would be now. After some googling and research I have concluded that I am a 4 hit wonder, as is Whitesnake: Here I go again, Is this love, Fool for your loving, The deeper the love.
Now for some eye candy:
Bunny slippers…..looks mighty comfy! I wanted her robe to look lived in so I created a faux chenile texture on it. This could also be what I needed this week, with both the girls sick and all of my back issues I need a big comfry robe to stuff all the tissues in.
This is just one of my favorite quotes! I love looking at it, reading it makes me feel good inside. The cards are pretty straight forward, MFT stamps on the first and Unity on the second. I’m tired so I want to scoot off the computer, I’ll come back with detail information in the morning.

Wooohooo! It’s Tuesday so you know that means the Jacksonbelle DT girls get together for a challenge. This week it was easy……anything you want! So I decided to use some of the last of my favorite pieces of cosmo cricket on this, and some primas that I had been eyeing but not using.
There’s some sewing, lots of sponging, some spica pens, dew drops and lots and lots of primas. This bird set just gets me everytime, I love it.
For more fun and inspiration check out the other DT’s blogs and see what they have cookin:

I got a little time yesterday to color and play while the ABA therapist was here for Audrey and Ava was content playing. I had yet to ink up this pretty image so I thought it was time I did!
I colored it with copics, of course and then went went over it with pearl watercolors. Not too shimmery but just a touch.
I am going to a swap tonight where I get to see Maren again, maybe AJ and meet Linsey and a few other Seattle area gals….how fun! Luckily I only need 6 cards for the swap because I haven’t figured them out yet, lol.
I hope you all have a great Saturday!

Introducing Chloe Marie……and some breaking news!
It’s Tuesday Jacksonbelle challenge time again, and this week I would like to introduce you to a sweet little gal named Chloe Marie:
Chloe Marie is a new line of paper, chipboard elements and rub on’s from Daisy D. It is so seriously sweet! I decided to use my Patterned BugsInka set to go with this as well as the chelsea sentiments set. I stamped the long butterfly trail in bayou ink onto the chloe marie. The sentiment is stamped in basic grey ink and the ladybugs from the patterned bugs set in purely pom ink. I added shading around the ladybugs with a stardust pen, then highlighted the flowers with a white pen and used a silver copic spica on the head and antennae. Sewing, distressing and paper piercing were added and then the wee, littlest buttons you have ever seen were added. Primaswith more buttons and then white ric rac may arts ribbon with some paper piercing on either side.

- And now onto some extra EXCITING news!!!!! you may remember these cards
Well I had wandered over to the Stampavie website to see if I was missing out on new items. And I see a banner for DT submission.I believe this was 3 days before it ended, so I was cutting it close. I had such a hard mix of emotions about this because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the styles of these stamps. They make me happy in a way few stamps do.But I realized that these stamps had a strong following in Europe and would have a lot of peopel submitting their work. I know that when I submit to a magazine or even a DT call that it’s possible submissions are given from all over the world. But this was definately going to be open to a lot more people then I could imagine. And I almost didn’t want to put myself up for rejection. But 2 days before the deadline I sent it in and have been waiting for 9 days until this morning…….

Sue Nelson (USA)
My name is on the list but I removed it because I wanted to give you the links to all the fabulous ladies! It has been an AMAZING month for myself and I can say that this was the most stressful DT call I have ever participated in. And simply because it was international and I had no idea what style they were looking for since this is their first DT call and team. I am amazed and want to pinch myself because I am a part of such talented ladies. Thank you for allowing me to gush about my excitement!!! I was jumping up and down in my pajamas this morning when I saw my name!
And now I’m off to watch my trusty “Golden Girls” I love them!
Some things are moving around on my blog, I need a better system for linking everyone and keeping it tidy.So far this summer is turning out fantastic for me, unfortch I can’t tell you just yet. But wait because things are really ONLY getting better! It’s been a very VERY good week.

Hi there! Another week for a great challenge from spoonfull of sugar! The challenge is color this week; any shades of blue, pink and green, along with flesh tone and hair. I’ve had this cute little pack of paper from Daisy D’s that I was wanting to cut into so I decided now was the time. I sewed each panel onto the base with different stitches and different thread. And to color Lily I used copic markers for her skin and hair. But pearlescant watercolors for her clothing, flowers, ground and anything else. I LOVE these watercolors, they are so, so, so pretty…..and cheap too!
The butterfly didn’t make it onto the panel before using a nestie so I added a butterfly sticker to it. And lots of primas made it onto the card as well.
I have a bloggers challenge card, all black and white to post right after this so I’ll leave you with the details and then be back super quick!
Deets:
Stamps: Springtime Lily-Stampavie
Ink: memento black
CS: basful blue, PTI white, daisy d’s from Jacksonbelle

A flirty bracelet gift set
I wanted to share a bracelet gift set I made last week with you. The bracelet features elements from the ‘Flirty flowers’ set from Unity Stamps. I stamped the solo dotted flower on a metal base and adhered crystals and a pearl to the center. For the two smaller circles I stamped the flower image and punched out one of the flower tops, then adhered a resin top to it. Rhinestones in celery and clear are linked between the metal disks, and the finished size is just over 7 inches with a lobster claw clasp. I wanted to present the bracelet in a gift box that would be usable for the recipient. I think the box would be really pretty sitting on a table or a dresser.
And then the card is interactive and features a tilting watering can. As soon as I saw this set I wanted to make the watering can move so it could water the flowers.
The paper on the card and box are from the ‘Caliope’ Prima Paper collection, I LOOOOVE it! And I think I’m a bit addicted to the Prima papers….they are just fantabulous! Tomorrow is Jacksonbelle challenge Tuesday so be sure to stop by and see what we’ve got cooking!
Happy Monday!

Pretty little box
This is one of the items I have been working on this week, a pretty little box:
I used the ‘Tea time Patten” from Unity stamps in chocolate ink on aqua mist CS and covered chipboard. The base and lid are 5×7 and the sides are 2 1/2 tall. The lid has 3 layers of chocolate, aqua and chocolate taffeta ribbons, MAMBI rhinestones and pearls. I also stamped the background pattern in distress ink and aqua ink on the main panel before I stamped the quote. I wanted the inside to be finished looking so I covered the opposite sides with cream card stock.
This was just so fun to create, I LOVE that background stamp and quote. I hope you enjoyed the peek at some of what I’ve been doing this week. I have a lot more to share so I’ll be back soon!

Blogger challenge Friday- Animals
I have been such a bad blogger this week, it’s Friday already and I’ve barely shown you anything! I have been very busy though and you should be able to see all that I’ve been working on tomorrow. I didn’t have a card for the bloggers challenge last week, I just couldn’t come up with anything that I liked. Silly reason since the challenge was red, white and blue but I just wasn’t feeling what I was making. This week the challenge is animals and that is MUCH easier for me! I have so many different stamps to choose from so just to throw a curve ball at you, I’m using a stamp with a wee little animal.
In reality a bird on your head probably wouldn’t make you giggle………but MAN I love this stamp! I really like all her stamps, RAchelle Ann Miller, her new releases are just insanely cute! You can view and preorder them here.
Lily got the whole she-bang, copics, distressing, nesties, sewing, primas, buttons, ribbon. Everything that makes me happy to put on a card.
Tomorrow morning I have an early training session at the gym…….7:30 and that makes me scared! And then I will have about an hour lag between heading to University Village and waiting for Sean to pick me up with the girls before our re-evaluation test #2. I’m hoping in the free time between the gym and the UW that I can chill at the Uvillage and find some fun stuff.
I’m really happy it’s friday, the week has taken it’s toll on me and while I have a really important deadline to get to creating my last piece I felt like no matter what I did, it looked like crap. So I stepped away from it and will finish it tomorrow.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday; Prima sketch
Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday!!! That means another Jacksonbelle Challenge, this week a sketch brought to us by Lynda! Lindsey has been getting all sorts of YUMMY Prima products in and this is the time to use them. I decided to use my ‘Tea and Silk’ collection again, which matches so well with the PTI sweet blush.
My camera ran out of batteries and this is the shot I got right before it died, lol. I used a lot of spica pens on the dragon to make him nice and shimmery! This Lizzie Anne set “Once upon a time” is so cute, there are just too many possibilities with it.
Again I am posting this before I have all the links to the other DT members, so check out Lindsey’s blog until I can come back and update. This might be late because I have 3 appointments tomorow before we are at the UW for a couple hours. If you play along then be sure to leave me a link, and if you upload to SCS then use JBE004 so we can all see it!

A veggie hello~
I finally got to play with Jen’s sketch for you to try today, and I decided to use another Bella, veggie bella. She hadn’t seen ink before today and she is just so much fun! Actually this sketch is a lot of fun, a lot of possibilities!
I had extra time today so I decided to sew my layers onto the wasabi, I really should do it more often! The sentiment is from my Inkadinkado set, Chelsea Sentiments. It’s a great set with fantastic fonts and useable phrases.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and had some time to play, either inside or out. We had high 80’s weather, but thankfully it’s cooling off! I am in the minority of hating Summer. I like sunshine but hate super hot weather, good thing I live in Washington!
