My comp issue of Card Creations volume 6 arrived today!!! It was just so weird seeing it in print, WOW!!!!

I will scan later tonight to show the page and offer some celebration goodies!

Sorry I’ve been so ultra super quiet, Sean and I were in Portland for the weekend and then the past 2 days have been spent at the dentist. I’m trying to get my art finished by the weekend so my blogging has been way behind.

I’ll be back tonight with the scan and goodies!

When I was little my Mom, sister and I made a house of dreams. We used catalogues and magazines to cut out pictures of furniture and rooms that we liked and glued them onto a big piece of cardboard. I always liked the vanity and stools with layers of fabric, lace and sheer yumminess.

This sweet little skunk has a dream room, with delicious pink goodness! And a little bird to help her get ready for her big date. Don’t you wish you had a little friend to help with your perfume or lipgloss?

I’ve been working on this little baby for the last couple of days, the face was giving me troubles. It took 3 different vintage cards for inspiration to get this completed, just for the baby. I like that just by changing the color of the hair bow it could be a boy or girl, perfect for baby cards!

I found a cute little vintage card with a deer and a bluebird sitting on it’s tail last week. The bird was so cute so I made this little fellow but I wasn’t sure what to do with him. So I put a little party hat on him and decided it would be cute as a birthday card.

I always have an issue with painting and how much detail to bring back or how much to leave blended. I don’t seem to have the same problem with watercolors, but with anything creamy or opaque then it stumps me.

So briefly I want to preface this with I need to clean out my room. I have been drawing, painting and designing and doing some things I’ve always dreamed of doing. This new venture will leave a LOT of my supplies unused, and unfortunately they have been unused for some time. It’s not sad, but just fact. I would rather the stamps go to a home where they will be used.This decision has nothing to do with how I feel about the stamps or the company. I’ve still got a LOT of stamps that I am keeping.

Audrey came down with a cold on Tuesday afternoon, by evening it was a full on mucous attack. Last night Ava woke up delirious and fevering, while I started to get a sore throat. Today we are all sick, in jammies with fevers/coughs/runny noses.

We aren’t as cute as this though…….

I’ve decided to take my ideas for the kitchen and put them into a story told through pictures. When I made my french toast dude, I thought about how the other breakfast foods and items in the kitchen would feel. Maybe they would all want a beret? Would they be jealous or think he was a show off? How would the cinnamon react? So today I will continue the story, beginning with the natural adversary to french toast….. the pancake.

And I just have to share quickly how EXCITED I am because today I found a plastic’s manufacturer!!!!! I have been looking for 2 YEARS……it has been a long journey. Either they couldn’t produce what I wanted or their minimum orders were 1000’s of pieces or the quality wasn’t there. But FINALLY………I found them and I have plastic coming my way!

I know your probably scratching your head thinking what in the world do I want plastic for and why would I need it? But trust me when I finally get it and put it to use you will LOVE it! I am soo excited!
